Backpack Buddies Program Application
Lumpkin County Family Connection is excited to join local community partners to provide weekend groceries to ensure students have the food they may need over the weekend. Food will be distributed weekly to parents of participating students on Fridays during the school year.
–Weekend ‘Backpacks’ are distributed on Fridays.
–Parent pick-ups are available Fridays 8am-2pm. There will be no food distributions on Fridays when there is a school holiday.
–Someone can pick up for you only after you give permission.
–Lumpkin Family Connection Facebook will have updates on weather cancellations and emails will be sent out.
–In the event of school closures or cancellations, Lumpkin Family Connection will post information on Facebook and send out emails to provide updated information about food distribution.
–Parents are encouraged to attend a parent group on Thursdays @ 1pm at the Student Outreach Center located at LCMS, where food can be picked up early and extra items are available. Mask-wearing will be required for all parent group participants.
